The BWCUCC Monster Garage Sale is on at the BWCUCC Club Pavilion early in the morning of Saturday, 20th February 2010. If wet, it will be held on Sunday 21st.

The Gordon Scout Group has kindly allowed us access to their den to store items etc. on the Friday and Saturday. The BWCUCC Premiers will be playing Merivale-Papanui(our brother club through the North/West Youth Group) and we shall be involving as many Club Members, parents, girlfriends (wives, even!!!) as possible.

The goal is to raise in the region of $15,000 net profit. If we can find somebody in the club who has done it all before, your advice is warmly welcomed! Are there any volunteers in the house? Somebody will know somebody.

On a limited budget, we will be seeking maximum publicity for the event through local newspapers, The Burnside Barometer etc., it is proposed to deliver 10,000 flyers advertising for products and goods and services and also seeking local buyers. Thus you are respectfully urged to start looking for goods which may no longer be of use to you BUT that are saleable by us. Storage is available at our pavilion, in the interim.

ALL Club Members - large or small - will be approached to deliver a handful of flyers in a designated street or two, surrounding Burnside Oval. This is a great opportunity to interact with our catchment area and remind locals and "sleeping" cricketers of our existence thus we should be able to recruit a few more active and social members. More news will follow in the new year!
